The BFL Cheerleading Program is open to all children from Bridgewater and the surrounding area in grades K-8th . New to the program this year is our competitive cheer squads. The competitive program is open to all children entering 6th, 7th, and 8th grade for the 2008-2009 school year. 

                                                                      INTOWN CHEER

The intown cheer squads are organized primarily by grade, K-2nd, 3rd-4th, 5th-6th, 7th-8th. Every effort is made to honor requests to place siblings on the same squad and to allow siblings to cheer at the same time their brother or sister is playing football. Cheerleaders  
cheer at the BFL intown football games which begin the Saturday after Labor Day and end in mid November.

Games are played on Saturday at the National Starch Fields and Harry Alley Fields located off Finderne
Ave. Game times are 8:30 (K-2nd), 10:00 (3rd-4th), 12:00 (5th-6th), 2:00 (7th-8th).

Cheerleading practice begins mid-August. Practice is held Monday through Thursday from 6:00-8:00 until the start of the season (the Saturday after Labor Day). Once the season begins, cheerleading practice is one day a week (time and day to be determined by the coach of each squad). 

                                                                  COMPETITIVE CHEER

The competitive squads are open to 6th, 7th and 8th graders who are willing to dedicate their time and effort to a cheer squad that will not only cheer for the travel teams but will also participate in cheerleading competitions. The games are on Saturday-Junior Varsity is at 6:00pm and Varsity is at 7:30pm. Cheerleaders will be required to cheer at home games and at away games.
Games are played at the high school football stadium of the home team.

Cheerleading practice begins in Mid-August. Practice is held Monday through Thursday from 6:00-8:00 until the start of the season (the Saturday after Labor Day). Once the season begins, cheerleading practice is twice a week. Attendance at practices is essential to a successful competitive program.
